The tailored specializations in the program equip our students for various realms of research, development, and innovative pursuits. Students are required to select one of the specializations upon enrolment in the Master’s program.  

  • High-Performance Computational Tools and Architectures 

For swift decision-making or real-time implementation of manufacturing methods, a significant amount of computations is often required at a low cost. This demands cutting-edge software tools and well-designed hardware architectures. Students in this specialization learn the integrated design of these tools to maximize computational performance effectively. 

  • Machine Learning for Data Science 

The adept and intelligent processing of the ever-expanding data from technological, natural, and societal environments stands as a critical factor in sustaining and advancing our civilization. Students in this specialization will study the most advanced methods of data representation/storage, data mining, and model fitting using the tools of machine learning and artificial intelligence. The application areas of this approach range from classical engineering sciences to bionics, touching multiple branches of science, including healthcare. 

  • Software Engineering 

Software development remains a classic yet perpetually evolving domain within information technology. The evolution of today's functionally and possibly spatially distributed network architectures presents a significant challenge for software engineers. By the conclusion of their studies, students selecting this specialization attain the capacity to comprehend, analyse, and design complex software systems, employing the latest development approaches. 

CURRICULUM 

The curriculum of the study program (120 credits) comprises the following modules: 

  • Fundamentals in Natural Sciences (requirements for diploma: 20-30 credits) 
  • Economics and Humanities (requirements for diploma: 9-15 credits) 
  • Skills in Information Technology, including Specialization subjects (requirements for diploma: 54-90 credits) 

Options: 

  • Specialization in High-performance Computational Tools and Architectures 
  • Specialization in Machine Learning for Data Science 
  • Specialization in Software Engineering 
  • Thesis Work (requirements for diploma: 30credits) 
  • Other elective subjects (maximum 6 credits)
